Made it to Sydney

I’m in transit to the states and currently hanging out in the Air New Zealand/United lounge in Sydney airport. Yesterday’s trip from Alice to Sydney was pleasantly uneventful. I spent the night in a hotel in the famed Rocks region of Sydney. Located on Circular Quay there are some great views of the Harbor Bridge and the Opera House.

This shot of the bridge was taken from the roof top of my hotel.

The view of the Opera House was obstructed because somebody parked a boat in the way.

A REALLY BIG BOAT!

The only drama so far was when checking in at the United Airlines counter, when the agent couldn’t find the information on my miles upgrade from coach to business. Fortunately for everyone, they found the upgrade and I didn’t have to cry in public or figure out how to hide a dead body.

Please pray for warm weather!

A very wise woman once told me that life is about the story we tell at the end of the chapter. If statistics are to be believed, I’m closer to the end of my life than the beginning. I’ve quit the race to see who can have the office with best view or the most impressive job title. I’ve made peace with the fact there are some of my early dreams/goals that will never be realized. I love who I am and the women I have become AND boy do I have stories to tell!
